Ferrari second sensor not linked to performance

Ferrari have confirmed that they have a second sensor fitted within their battery, but have rejected claims that it has led to a power loss. Maurizio Arrivabene has denied that the sensor, which has been put into place by the FIA, is linked to their drop in performance. In the height of the summer, it was clear that the Scuderia had developed the best power unit on the grid. They had the advantage in Germany, Belgium and Monza, but could only manage to taste victory at one of those three. Since then, Mercedes have caught back up, and beaten the Italian team at events they were expected to win.
