Alonso remains confident for Japanese GP

McLaren haven’t had their best time in Formula One in recent races, scores points only twice in the last six Grands Prix, but Fernando Alonso reveals that the squad has more confidence heading into the race at Suzuka this weekend. It will be Alonso’s last visit to the flowing and fast track in a Formula One car as he is set to retire at the end of the 2018 campaign. The Spaniard has not had the best of luck at Suzuka over the past few years. It’s always been one of his weaker tracks, he has won only two races at the circuit in his career and has not finished in the points since 2013, when he was still a Ferrari driver.
