Verstappen: Let’s hope the typhoon stays away in Japan!
Max Verstappen is looking forward to getting out on the track for the next Formula 1 Grand Prix in Japan, but is hoping for an event uninterrupted by weather as super-typhoon Kong-rey threatens the nation and its surrounding islands with torrential wind and rain. The category five hurricane has authorities on red alert ahead of the weekend, but as of yet no warnings have been made against the potential cancellation of the GP in Suzuka, with places further afield more at risk. Verstappen is hoping the race can proceed without incident. "Suzuka circuit is one of my favourite tracks of the season and it’s always a great experience to see the fans," the Dutchman said....
