Hamilton tops final practice ahead of Bottas – FP3 Report

Russian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton topped the final free practice session ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas prior to qualifying at the Sochi Autodrom. With the Mercedes trading fastest laps, the championship leader took FP3 honours with a time of 1:33.067 to best his team-mate by one-quarter of a second. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was third fastest, but his best effort was set on hypersoft tyres which had completed several laps. In their efforts to assess the hypersoft tyres, teams were seeing high wear on the left-front tyre, and the reduced grip was evident by the likes of Hamilton, Vettel and Raikkonen running wide at the fast right-hander of turn seven.
