Hamilton happy with Mercedes progress in Sochi
Lewis Hamilton says he is pleased with Mercedes' Friday running in Sochi after topping FP2 by a margin over their rivals. Hamilton finished P1 in second practice half a second ahead of the nearest Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel down in fifth. Admitting after FP2 finished that the Russian Grand Prix had been a disappointment for him last year, Hamilton explained that he was pleased with the progress that he and the team had made compared to 2017. “Sochi has been one of the weaker circuits for me in the past, particularly last year,” said Hamilton. “So I've done a lot of work to understand the balance and see where I can improve to try and rectify this – today has been...
