Sochi FP1: Vettel sets the early pace

Ferrari Sebastian Vettel got his Russian Grand Prix weekend to a good start, claiming top spot on the timing screens at the end of the morning FP1 session at Sochi Autodrom. Vettel's best lap time of 1:34.488 was set on the Pirelli Hypersoft tyres, which was a mere half a tenth of a second faster than Max Verstappen in the Red Bull on similar rubber. Championship leader Lewis Hamilton was third quickest in the Mercedes. Report in progress…
