Mercedes, Ferrari wrap up Paul Ricard F1 tyre test

Mercedes and Ferrari wrapped up the latest two-day Formula 1 tyre test in association with Pirelli at French Grand Prix venue Paul Ricard on Friday. Valtteri Bottas completed 112 laps on his second successive day in Mercedes’ W09 while Sebastian Vettel stepped into Ferrari’s SF71H and racked up 121 laps. It added to the 231 laps completed by Bottas and Charles Leclerc on Thursday, which acted as the 2019 Ferrari driver’s first full day of action in the team’s SF71H. Pirelli, which has been the championship’s sole tyre supplier since 2011, is permitted 25 days of tyre testing per season, with all 10 teams participating at various points. Following an initial...
