Verstappen: Red Bull never considered deal for Alonso
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen reveals his team never considered signing Fernando Alonso for next season, despite speculation. There had been reports that Red Bull and the soon-to-be retiring Alonso were locked in talks over a potential seat for next season to replace the leaving Daniel Ricciardo. However, Pierre Gasly has since took the seat to partner Verstappen for the 2019 season. "I had an offer in 2007, in 2009, in 2011, in 2013, and two this year, one in Monaco, and one in August," Alonso claimed recently.
