Vettel: ‘We didn't have a chance after tyre call'

Singapore Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel was left ruing his tyre strategy after failing to challenge Lewis Hamilton for victory at the Marina Bay Circuit. Following a disappointing qualifying session, the Ferrari man was forced to try and recover the lost ground during the race, and managed to pass Red Bull's Max Verstappen for second place on the opening lap. However, the decision to be the first to pit and dispose of the hypersoft tyre backfired when, after being held up by Force India's Sergio Perez, he lost the place to Verstappen, who stopped two laps later.
