McLaren team principal Zak Brown has identified where it all went wrong for the legendary Woking outfit, blaming the matrix management structure placed on the organisation by his predecessors while admitting that 2018 was a brutal wake-up call for his team. The team had high expectations for this season after ditching Honda and plugging in Renault PUs to the back of their cars. Australia wasn't bad for the team, both cars finished in the points with Fernando Alonso fifth and Stoffel Vandoorne ninth.
