Video: Alonso drives the Andretti Autosport IndyCar in Alabama

Fernando Alonso returned to an IndyCar by driving the Andretti Autosport car at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. As the close of his F1 career hoves into view over the horizon, Fernando Alonso has taken some time out to test an IndyCar on a road course in the US. 'It was something that I was looking for last year already.' Alonso explained after the track time. 'I had some options to test the car on a road course after the Indy 500 [in 2017]. We didn’t find the time but this year it’s definitely happened now and I’m happy for this.
