IndyCar 'hopeful' Fernando Alonso will race full-time in 2019

IndyCar President Mark Miles is hopeful Fernando Alonso will choose to race in the series full-time for the 2019 season. Alonso has taken aim to win the 'triple crown' of motorsport which includes the Monaco Grand Prix, 24 hours of Le Mans and infamous Indianapolis 500, two of which the Spaniard has now conquered after his win at Le Sarthe earlier this season with Toyota. With just the Indy 500 left to tick off the list, the likelihood of joining the series full-time has since long been a topic of discussion and is set to make a decision soon as to his future plans.
