Draft 2019 Formula 1 calendar published

Formula 1 has published a draft 21-race calendar for the 2019 season, including the date of the 1000th Grand Prix. The season will begin on March 17 with the regular opener in Australia, with Bahrain coming before China, which will host the milestone race on April 14. Baku will retain its earlier slot on April 28 while France and Austria, Germany and Hungary, Belgium and Italy, Singapore and Russia, and Mexico and USA will be held on back-to-back weekends. With fewer consecutive race weekends and no triple headers as there are on this year’s calendar, the season will end in Abu Dhabi on the later date of December 1.
