Hulkenberg and Bottas penalised after opening lap chaos

Belgian Grand Prix – Both Nico Hulkenberg and Valtteri Bottas have been penalised for their involvement in first corner collisions at Spa-Francorchamps. In a bruising opening lap of the Belgian Grand Prix, Hulkenberg lost control of his Renault under braking for turn one and collided into McLaren's Fernando Alonso, which in turn was launched over Charles Leclerc's Sauber. All three drivers were eliminated at that corner, and Hulkenberg was judged to have been to blame for the incident and handed a ten-place grid penalty for the next race, the Italian Grand Prix.
