Alonso: Spa qualifying not McLaren’s lowest point of 2018
Fernando Alonso insists McLaren’s dire qualifying performance at the Belgian Grand Prix does not represent the team’s lowest point of the 2018 Formula 1 season. Alonso struggled to 17th and his worst qualifying result of the season at Spa-Francorchamps, while teammate Stoffel Vandoorne also failed to progress from Q1 and ended up slowest of all.
