Renault: Possibly no more engine updates this season
Mercedes and Ferrari have already introduced the third spec of their respective engines, but Renault have revealed that they're not sure whether their Spec 3 will be ready this season, as there are still reliability issues This news will come as good and bad news perhaps for Red Bull, as they might now have extra comfort in their decision to switch to Honda as engine partners in 2019. The bad news will of course be that they won't be as competitive this season. Bob Bell, chief technical officer at Renault, says they won't be introducing the new spec until all problems are resolved. "We could use them if we wanted to," Bell told Motorsport among other present media...
