Alonso IndyCar announcement expected 'at the end of the year'

Mark Miles, the President and CEO of Hulman & Company, which owns IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, does not expect Fernando Alonso to confirm an IndyCar switch in the near future. The McLaren driver revealed on Tuesday that he will be leaving Formula One at the end of 2019 in a bid to pursue other challenges. He is widely believed to be making a switch to the IndyCar Series for 2019, although no official confirmation has been received by either Alonso or McLaren.
