Verstappen admits Red Bull are behind Ferrari and Mercedes
Max Verstappen believes that Renault may prefer their own works team in terms of power unit supply and then admits that Red Bull are perhaps a couple of steps behind in the development war. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen thinks that being a customer team puts his team at a disadvantage in the development battle that goes on during the season. "If there are new parts they will, of course, go to the factory team first which is also logical but it's a pity for us," Verstappen told GrandPrix247.com. "You just know that at Ferrari and Mercedes these are immediately introduced and then they might have the advantage of that for one or two races before the rest takes a step....
