Gasly praises his improved tyre management

Toro Rosso's Pierre Gasly has tooted his own horn by saying his tyre management has gotten a lot better this season, as the Frenchman has put in some excellent performances in his first full season in Formula One. Gasly has exceeded expectations this season, as he's finished in the top six on several occasions in his Toro Rosso. Many of his points finishes are made possible by his crazy long stints on very soft tyres, including a 37-lap stint on hypersoft tyres in Monaco and a 32-lap stint on ultrasofts in Hungary. “I wasn't struggling as much as the others were,” Gasly told Motorsport.com after the Hungarian Grand Prix. “I think in terms of tyre management...
