Renault: Red Bull only have themselves to blame
Renault's Cyril Abiteboul has laid the blame for Max Verstappen's MGU-K failure during the early stages of the Hungarian Grand Prix solely at the feet of Red Bull. The Dutchman had made a good start to the race but was forced to retire the car after the power unit issue. Speaking after the grand prix, Abiteboul said that the failure was not the fault of Renault, Red Bull's power unit supplier, but rather with the team themselves after they didn't take an upgraded component that was offered to them. “We switched at Monaco to an improved MGU-K.
