Pierre Gasly: ‘It was a crazy qualifying for us'

Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda‘s Pierre Gasly made the most out of the tricky conditions in today's qualifying at the Hungarian Grand Prix to put a time in good enough to leave him sixth on the grid for the race. The session started off with a wet and dry track, but as it progressed, conditions deteriorated as the rain set in. After last weekend's tyre blunder, where Toro Rosso called the Frenchman in to put full wets on, the strategists made the right decision, and Gasly benefitted to claim his second best ever qualifying result in his Formula 1 career. “It was a crazy qualifying for us, especially in these conditions but I’m super happy with the outcome!' he commented.
