Toro Rosso: James Key has long-term deal with us

Toro Rosso has responded to the news of James Key’s appointment as McLaren’s Technical Director by stating the Briton holds a long-term contract with the team. McLaren confirmed reports on Thursday that Key is to take up the position of Technical Director at a yet-to-be-determined date, with Engineering Director Matt Morris departing. Key has spearheaded Toro Rosso’s technical line-up since 2012, following a lengthy career with Force India and its predecessors Jordan, Midland and Spyker, and a brief stint at Sauber.
