Red Bull expect to avoid Hungarian penalty

Daniel Ricciardo won't face additional engine penalties at this weekend's Hungarian GP despite retiring from the German race with an engine issue. Ricciardo started the Hockenheimring race from the back of the grid having exceeded the penalty-free limit for the MGU-K, energy store and control electronics. He raced his way up to sixth place before an engine issue put him out of the grand prix. His retirement raised questions about whether the Aussie would no face additional penalties in Hungary. For now at least, Red Bull say no. According to the BBC, a Red Bull spokesman said the team did not expect to be taking penalties as the part that failed would be 'replaced with one of our quota.'
