Sauber hands Antonio Giovinazzi Hungary FP1 and test outing

Sauber reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi will return to C37 during practice for this weekend’s Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. Giovinazzi’s run is his second of six planned practice outings in his role as reserve driver, a position he also holds at Ferrari. Having replaced Marcus Ericsson during the opening practice session at Hockenheim, Giovinazzi will take over Charles Leclerc’s cockpit for the 90-minute running on Friday. Giovinazzi also participated in FP1 in Hungary 12 months ago – though brought his session to a premature halt when he crashed Haas’ VF-17.
