Toto Wolff: Mercedes fastest car in recent races

German Grand Prix – Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says that he believes Mercedes have the fastest car heading to their home race at Hockenheim. Heading to Germany, Mercedes are on the back foot in both the Driver's and Constructor's Championships with Ferrari ahead by twenty points. Having missed out on victory at Silverstone due to incidents for Lewis Hamilton, fading tyres for Valtteri Bottas and a stellar drive from Sebastian Vettel, as well as a double retirement at the previous round in Austria, Wolff reckons that his team still hold the ace card of the fastest package overall: 'We didn't score as many points in the triple-header as we had hoped for.
