Renault bulks out on Ultrasofts for German GP

Renault has maxed out on its Ultrasoft tyre picks for the German Grand Prix with ten sets each for Nico Hulkenerg and Carlos Sainz Jr, as Pirelli confirms each team’s F1 tyre choices for Hockenheim. Pirelli has selected Ultasoft, soft and medium as its three tyre options for Hockenheim, with Renault opting to stack up its softest options compared to its F1 rivals. Williams is the closest to Renault’s allocation with nine sets each of the purple-banded tyres for Sergey Sirotkin and Lance Stroll with all of the other eight teams opting for either seven or eight sets of the softest compound.
