Kevin Magnussen describes McLaren troubles as "a shame"

Former McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen hates to see his old team struggling to fight during race weekends even though it helps his current team. The Danish driver made his Formula 1 debut with the Woking-based team in 2014. He departed to make way for Fernando Alonso but still has an emotional attachment to the team that nursed him through his junior years. Talking about the papaya orange team after the Austrian Grand Prix, he said it's a shame to see them struggling. "I've lost touch with them I don't talk to them anymore I don't know the problems they're facing at the moment, but it's a shame for sure," Magnussen said in an interview on crash.net.
