Kubica determined to take 2019 race seat

Robert Kubica remains determined to secure a race seat in Formula 1 in 2019. Kubica has returned to F1 this year as Williams' test and reserve driver, returning to the sport after years recuperating from life-altering arm injuries sustained in a rally crash in 2011. Kubica was overlooked by Williams in favour of Sergey Sirotkin for the 2018 season alongside Lance Stroll, although the pole has taken to the car in FP1 in Spain and Austria. With a string of seats up and down the grid yet to be tied up for next season, Kubica retains hope of making his first grand prix outing since the 2010 Abu Dhabi event in 2019.
