Ricciardo: I'll probably need rain to compete
Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that he will need intervention from the weather in order to be competitive in Sunday's French Grand Prix, with the Mercedes' of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas dominating all of Saturday's qualifying session in an ominous performance. The Mercedes duo were followed in by Sebastian Vettel in third before the Red Bull duo of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo arrived in P4 and P5, though neither truly threatened to get involved in proceedings.
