Mercedes engine man heads to Renault

Renault has announced its recruitment of Mercedes Head of Powertrain Integration and Transmission Design, Matthew Harman. Harman is joining the Renault team from 1 September and will start as Deputy Chief Designer, assisting Chief Designer Martin Tolliday in the design of future cars, as the French outfit seeks to consolidate its performance world championship. Harman brings a wealth of motorsport experience, most recently from his years at Mercedes AMG F1, where he served as Head of Powertrain Integration and Transmission Design.
