Gasly to start last in Canada after F1 power unit change

Pierre Gasly will start Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix from last place on the grid after Toro Rosso opted to fit a new Formula 1 power unit on his car ahead of the race. Gasly and Toro Rosso teammate Brendon Hartley both arrived in Canada with Honda's newly-updated power unit in their cars, giving them hope of making a step forward in performance so they could fit further up the order. While Hartley was able to record his best qualifying result in five races, Gasly dropped out in Q1 after an issue on his power unit in FP3 forced Toro Rosso to move back to his previous-spec engine.
