Ricciardo to be penalty free in Canada!
Earlier in the week, Adrian Newey came out and said Ricciardo will get some sort of a penalty for this weekends Grand Prix. But now the Australian has told reporters he will not receive a penalty unless something goes wrong in the build-up to Sunday. The Red Bull had engine issues in Monaco, and Ricciardo drove the last 50 laps with a hampered engine. He went on to win the race. Reports asked if he’d be getting a penalty as a result of this. “Currently no, so no, the answer is no,” said Ricciardo. “If something happens in practice, and we are forced to change something, then I will get a penalty.
