World Motorsport Council approve F1 2019 aero changes

The World Motorsport Council has approved changes to the aerodynamic concepts Formula 1 cars will be designed to for the 2019 season and beyond. F1 bosses presented the proposed changes to the F1 teams in April, it was agreed with a majority decision to change the aerodynamic philosophy of the cars in order to try and facilitate closer racing between the cars on track. There was some debate prior to the presentation as to whether the changes should go ahead with many teams already well into the design process of their 2019 challengers - or even if the changes would work at all.
