Alonso: I am a Real Madrid fan
Real Madrid football team fan and official club member Fernando Alonso will risk upsetting some of his Liverpool-supporting crew by cheering on the Spanish giants inside McLaren’s motorhome on Saturday night after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. Liverpool are bidding to win their sixth European title when they face the might of Madrid in this season’s Champions League cup final in Kiev. Alonso, the two-time Formula 1 world champion, is a lifelong supporter of Madrid and will watch the showpiece unfold after he has finished qualifying for Sunday’s race in Monte-Carlo. McLaren are Britain’s most successful F1 team, and their staff is made up predominantly of English employees...
