Red Bull goes soft for Monaco

Expecting to be ultra-competitive on the streets of Monaco, Red Bull is taking a full complement of the new hypersoft tyre which makes its race debut next weekend. Both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen are taking the maximum 11 sets of the new compound, as are the Williams and Renault duos. Mercedes, which is expecting to struggle on the streets of the Principality, is taking the least hypersofts (9 sets) as are Haas and McLaren. Valtteri Bottas and Romain Grosjean take 3 sets of the ultrasofts, while Lewis Hamilton, Kevin Magnussen, the McLarens and Saubers are the only drivers taking more than one set of the hardest compound available, the supersoft.
