Magnussen: ‘My job was to stay in P7' – finishes P6

Spanish Grand Prix – Haas' Kevin Magnussen claimed a brilliant, if lonely, P6 on Sunday at the Circuit de Catalunya. Magnussen had a thoroughly straightforward race on Sunday. Starting from P7, he maintained his position at the start and moved up to P6 when Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen retired on Lap 26. Finishing 40 seconds behind Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, and almost 40 seconds clear of P7 Carlos Sainz, Magnussen's race was very lonely, but he couldn't hide his delight at single handedly taking Haas to 19 points and to P6 in the Constructor's Championship: “I had a really good start.
