Stewards clear Sergio Perez, keeps third place

Force India's Sergio Perez has been allowed to keep his third-place finish, having cleared by the Stewards of improper use of DRS during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Mexican's first podium in two years had been in doubt in the immediate aftermath of the race after it was reported to the stewards the Force India driver had used the Drag Reduction System outside of the permitted areas. Throughout the race, the teams ended up in a situation where they had to tell their drivers via the radio if they were within a second of the car in front in order to open their rear wings.
