Pirelli reveals tyre picks for Austrian GP
Pirelli will bring the exact same Formula 1 tyre compound selections as last year for July’s Austrian Grand Prix. The Italian F1 tyre manufacturer has opted to nominate the Ultrasoft, Supersoft and Soft tyres as the available compounds for the race which takes place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. Pirelli made the same tyre picks for last year’s race - won by Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas - although it has taken its compounds a step softer for this season after introducing two new slick compounds in a bid to shake-up race strategies in 2018. The same three tyre compounds were used at the opening two races of the season in Australia and Bahrain, while they have also been nominated...
