Even Lewis Hamilton’s biggest fans would admit that this hasn’t been the greatest of starts to a season for him as with each race, he seems he has slipped back a position with a second place in Australia, third in Bahrain and fourth in China. In fact, you have to go back to the American Grand Prix on 22 October 2017 to see the last time that he took the chequered flag having also achieved an all-time lap record in practice. Admittedly, this was the race that clinched the 2017 F1 world championship for him so it’s not surprising that he may have taken the foot off the gas a little for the rest of the season.
