Force India: Race pace stronger than one-lap form

Force India will be able to demonstrate better performance in race trim in Australia compared to its one-lap display, according to drivers Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon. Force India has introduced a substantial upgrade package to its VJM11 for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, as it strives to remain at the helm of Formula 1’s midfield. Neither Perez nor Ocon were able to make it through to Q3 at Albert Park, taking 12th and 14th on the grid respectively – once Valtteri Bottas’ penalty is applied – but believe the race will be more rewarding. “It’s disappointing not to be in Q3, but actually our performance was pretty good,” said Perez....
