Ricciardo leads Lewis with test best
Lewis Hamilton stormed to the fastest time of pre-season so far on a frenetic start to Day Two of the final test, with Red Bull currently Mercedes' closest challengers. Hamilton's 1:18.400 on hypersoft tyres is not only almost a second faster than his previous benchmark from week one in Barcelona, it is also quicker than any lap posted at last year's testing.
