Sky Sports F1, Channel 4 confirms 2018 F1 broadcast schedule

Sky Sports F1 and Channel 4 have confirmed its broadcasting schedule for Formula 1 in the United Kingdom in 2018. This year marks the final season of the current Formula 1 deal for viewers in the UK, which first came into action in 2012, before Channel 4 replaced the BBC as the terrestrial broadcaster. Sky Sports will take up exclusive rights in 2019, with the agreement running through 2024, with Liberty Media having confirmed that the deal, which was finalised under Formula 1’s previous ownership, cannot be tweaked. For 2018, Sky Sports will show 11 of the 21 races exclusively live, with Channel 4 carrying live coverage of the other 10, and highlights of the remainder. As per the...
