Resurfacing underway at 'bumpy' Silverstone

Silverstone, the venue for the British Grand Prix, is undergoing a complete resurfacing of its 3.66-mile circuit to reduce several bumps in the road. The Northamptonshire track, which is owned and operated by the British Racing Driver's Club, had initially planned to lay down new asphalt between the Stowe and Club corners, a bumpy area frequently singled-out by MotoGP riders. British GP puts historic F1 on its support program! Given the age of the current track's surface however, it was ultimately decided to conduct work over the entire length of the circuit.
