Todt: Budget cap alone will not be F1's saviour
FIA president Jean Todt has said the proposal to bring in a budget cap will not be enough on its own to control costs in Formula 1. The issue of team spending is a regular topic of conversation with many pushing for a budget cap to be introduced because it will also help level the playing field. But Todt warned that other measures would have to be put in place alongside the budget cap in order to achieve maximum impact. “We have been talking about cost control/cost cap for a while,” said Todt via Motorsport.com. “I believe it is a good move, but for me it has to be a combination. “We need to make regulations which will have some impact on the actual costs.
