Bottas offers fans chance to design 2018 F1 helmet

Fans have been given the chance to design Valtteri Bottas' helmet for the 2018 Formula 1 season. The Mercedes driver said the winning design, which will be selected by him personally, will be used for the "majority" of grands prix for the upcoming campaign. It follows teammate Lewis Hamilton's decision to use a fan-designed helmet for the 2017 season after holding a competition that garnered more than 8,000 entries. Jenson Button also used a fan vote to determine his design for the 2016 season, his final full campaign in F1.
