Brown rules out McLaren entry in 2018 Indy 500

McLaren executive director Zak Brown has said that the team definitely won't be taking part in next year's Indianapolis 500. The team put in an entry in last year's race in association with Andretti Autosport. That was in order to allow Fernando Alonso to skip the Monaco Grand Prix and take part in the iconic event. Despite leading the race on several occasions, Alonso retired 21 laps from the end after his Honda engine failed. Even so, it was a huge success in terms of media and fan response.
