Hamilton: The energy has not been the same
Lewis Hamilton ended the season on the podium at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix but acknowledged that winning his fourth Formula 1 world championship with two races to spare had affected his performances in the remaining races that were in effect meaningless for him and his Mercedes team in terms of both the drivers' and constructors' titles. As in 2015, when he secured the title in Texas and then-teammate Nico Rosberg claimed the final three races of the season, Hamilton has not won since the United States Grand Prix. He was ninth in Mexico, where he clinched the title, then fourth in Brazil two weeks ago and second in Abu Dhabi on Sunday behind Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas. Last...
