Vettel leads Hamilton and Verstappen – FP1 Report
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Four-time Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel led his season-long rival Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in FP1. The Ferrari man topped the session with a time of 1:39.006 on the ultrasoft tyres, with Hamilton 0.120s off the German’s pace. Verstappen was a further 0.028s adrift in third. Kimi Raikkonen was fourth ahead of Valtteri Bottas, with Sergio Perez sixth ahead of the two McLaren Hondas, with Fernando Alonso leading Stoffel Vandoorne in seventh. Felipe Massa was ninth ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in tenth, with Red Bull continuing to run the Australian’s car conservatively amid reliability worries.
