Todt set for third term as FIA president
Jean Todt is set to spend a third term as FIA president after being the only candidate to submit a completed application ahead of the upcoming General Assembly meeting in Paris. Former Ferrari Formula 1 chief Todt became FIA president in 2009 after defeating Finnish rally legend Ari Vatanen, and ran unopposed in 2013 to secure a second term after the opposing David Ward withdrew after failing to gain enough support. Todt announced his intention to run for a third term as FIA president back in May, and was confirmed as the only candidate in a statement issued by motorsport's world governing body on Wednesday.
