Renault admits having to sacrifice pace "bitter"

Renault Sport Formula 1 boss Cyril Abiteboul said it was "bitter" to have to sacrifice performance in order to ensure reliability during Formula 1's Brazilian Grand Prix. Renault has suffered a series of failures in recent races, with Renault-powered Toro Rosso duo Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley taking grid penalties for this weekend's race in Brazil. As a result, Renault made the call to turn down its engines in a bid to reduce the chances of further failures during the race at Interlagos.
